- Brave announces partnership with Everipedia
- Everipedia is the world’s largest Encyclopedia
- Since, Brave has boasted 8 million users
Privacy web browser Brave announced a co-marketing agreement with the world’s
largest blockchain-based encyclopedia, Everipedia, to boost the company’s brand
awareness among its userbase. Since then, the adoption rate of Brave has only
gained with a greater pace.
Everipedia, an online encyclopedia
featuring millions of wiki articles, uses a form of virtual currency (IQ
Tokens) that rewards contributors who write, edit and vote on the credibility
of articles. Brave rewards its users with Basic Attention Tokens (BAT) via the
integrated Brave Rewards in the browser, for opting into viewing
privacy-preserving ads. Brave users receive 70 percent of the revenue generated
by the ads.
Brave’s efforts to grow its user base are
already paying off. In fact, the firm announced in mid-October that its daily active users surpassed 2.8
million. And, its monthly active users hit an all-time high of 8 million. This
milestone is directly correlated with Brave’s verified publishers, which has
experienced a steady increase. Brave currently has 8 million monthly active
users and over 300,000 Verified Publishers.
